AWARE™ for the Equipment Owner
Helping Equipment Owners become more AWARE of what needs to be done to improve plant availability, efficiency, and safety.

Collaboration Required

To keep a plant running at peak performance requires a team of personnel from the equipment owner, manufacturers, and 3rd party service providers. These groups perform inspections, assessments, studies, etc. that inevitably result in specific recommendations of how to repair, replace, or operate all the different equipment in the plant. Managing all the recommendations that come from each of these groups on all the different equipment can be a difficult task in itself, but trying to collect it all to prepare an outage plan becomes a mind-boggling affair.

Organizing information the way users need it
The AWARE software suite by Automation Technology, Inc. organizes all the details regarding equipment conditions from all the different organizations that contribute to keeping the plant running at peak performance. Each piece of information is associated with the appropriate piece of equipment, so it is easy to see the history of inspections, assessments, studies, etc. that have been done, and to quickly find the recommendations that have been made.

Recommendations vs. Work Order
It is common for people to think that a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as the place where all the details regarding what needs to be done during upcoming outages resides. The CMMS only provides part of the story, however. A significant effort is put forth to determine IF and WHEN a work order should be created in the CMMS. AWARE is designed to manage engineering measurements, analysis, results, etc. that is used to determine if work (and thus a work order) is required, and what type of outage (planned, unplanned, forced) provides the best opportunity to perform the work.
