Tri-State Generation & Transmission Association has selected ATI’s Aware™ of Boilers and Mobile Aware for implementation at their Escalante Generating Station.

SAN JOSE, CA - 2/21/2007 - Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Equipment Knowledge Retention solutions for the energy industry, is pleased to announce that Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association has selected ATI’s Aware for Boilers Module to visualize and track boiler condition data.

In addition, Tri-State will be implementing Mobile Aware for performing boiler inspections using a hand-held device during their future outages.  By utilizing ATI’s Mobile Aware, inspection documentation will be improved and time and effort reduced.

Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association’s Escalante Plant sought Aware as a tool to document, track, and visualize their tube leaks, repairs, UTT data, thickness projections, and inspection records. Escalante Plant frequently utilizes Alstom Power’s inspection teams; and since Alstom’s field inspectors also use Aware for inspection documentation reporting, Alstom can now import their findings and recommendations in to Escalante’s Aware Boiler Module database, facilitating collaboration and easy knowledge exchange.
