Tucson Electric Power Selects ATI’s Aware™ for Boilers and Mobile Aware™ Module for their Springerville Station.

SAN JOSE, CA - 1/5/2007 - Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Equipment Knowledge Retention solutions for the energy industry, is pleased to announce that Tucson Electric Power (TEP) has selected ATI’s Aware for Boilers Module to replace an obsolete competitive product. 

In addition, Tucson Electric will be implementing Mobile Aware for performing boiler inspections using a hand-held device during their upcoming planned outage.  By utilizing ATI’s Mobile Aware, inspection time will be reduced during the upcoming outage.

Tucson Electric’s Springerville plant personnel turned to Aware from their former boiler tracking software in order to better visualize repairs; failure trending; as well as UTT readings, wastage calculations, and projections. Springerville also desired to improve their inspection documentation and reduce the amount of time and effort to do so, and saw Aware as the means to that end. Aware also facilitates automated R-1, R-2, R-4, and Weld Traveler forms for Springerville’s tube failure and repair reporting.
