Dominion selects ATI's Aware software for managing HRSG inspection and failure data
SAN JOSE, CA - 9/1/2006 -
Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Collaborative Asset Management solutions for the energy industries, is pleased to announce that Dominion Resources has acquired ATI's AWARE product for managing HRSG inspections and tube leak/repair data. This move was driven to help reduce forced outages due to boiler tube failures, the number one cause of forced outages in the power generation industry.
Dominion Resources has installed the web-based AWARE product in its central office with access provided to all plant sites. Routine inspections can be documented as well as all the data/knowledge documenting forced outages caused by tube leaks. This enables Dominion the ability to centralize knowledge. By doing this, engineers from both the plant and main office can collaborate with confidence that they are analyzing the same data.
