TVA Selects ATI's AWARE Product For Managing Boiler Inspection and Tube Failure Content
SAN JOSE, CA - 3/1/2005 -
Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Collaborative Asset Management solutions for the energy industries, is pleased to announce that the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has acquired ATI's AWARE product for managing all knowledge that is collected on boiler conditions. They will document boiler inspection, tube failure, and condition assessment activities within the Aware framework, and track the status of all the recommendations that result from those activities.
This move was driven by a need to improve documentation and management of knowledge pertaining to the condition of boilers, and easily utilize that knowledge to plan for future outages. This enables TVA the ability to centralize knowledge pertaining to boiler conditions, and enables engineers to analyze failure trends. By doing this, reporting is streamlined and standardized from one central location as well.
