Automation Technology, Inc. Announces the Release of iEasyDOC 2000 Release 2
San Jose, CA - 1/15/2001 -
Collaborative Asset Management Solution for OEM's, Service Providers, & Equipment Owners
Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI) announces the release of EasyDOC 2000, release 2, which extends the features available for collaborating on asset management between OEM's, Service Providers, & Equipment Owners.
IEasyDOC (for the web) and EasyDOC (for the desktop) provide the infrastructure for collaborative asset management so OEM's can help customers understand their own needs, and thereby increase uptime. By providing this kind of eService to customers, a highly personalized relationship is established, increasing the opportunities for an OEM's parts and services.
By utilizing the Internet and browser technology, the software enables the sharing of the Equipment based knowledge among all users in a community. For an OEM or Service Provider, that includes planning, sales, field service, parts, maintenance, etc., while for an equipment owner it includes maintenance, operations, planning, engineering, etc.
"This new release reinforces ATI's commitment to Collaborative Asset Management", says Matt Freeman, Director of Business Development at ATI. "We've greatly improved the navigation & reporting capabilities of the web version, making it easier than ever for users to access the data they need when they need it. The changes in the desktop version include performance and report printing enhancements that are specifically tailored towards field personal using the software in an offline mode".
The challenge of eBusiness is to help customers determine what they need in order to capture mind share, rather than merely providing them an on-line parts catalogue to order from. iEasyDOC has been developed for OEM's to help customers quickly make run, repair, or replace decisions, and to thereby capture and retain loyal customers.
The EasyDOC family of products provides a web-based & desktop solution for many organizations to collaborate on the health of equipment. Users view, query, and analyze information that has been collected by various organizations that contribute to asset management. It also provides the ability to query external data sources such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, Digital Control Systems, Historians, etc.
